A fantastic introduction to studying in Holland
Studying with international students from all over the world, you can look forward to learning in a supportive environment, improving your English language and study skills, getting used to the interactive learning used by Dutch universities, while launching an exciting new life in Holland.
Outstanding English language and study skills preparation
These programmes are taught at the Holland International Study Centre in Amsterdam and are designed to improve your English language and study skills so that you can confidently begin your chosen degree course here in Holland.
Students with a conditional offer from one of our partner universities can study a two or three-term English Programme. Students who successfully complete their programme can progress to a degree at one of our partner universities.
These courses focus on key areas including:
- expanding your vocabulary
- improving your listening and writing skills
- increasing conversational skills
- developing reading and self-study skills
- improving pronunciation and knowledge of grammar
There are 12 contact hours every week, over four days. You are also expected to do a minimum of 6-8 hours of self-study per week, practise your theory and undertake homework.
After four weeks, there will be a mid-term test of writing and speaking. At the end of the programme you will be required to take an IELTS test to ensure you have reached the required English language level to progress to your chosen university.
To join one of our English Programmes you will need to obtain a conditional offer letter from one of our partner universities and meet our Entry Requirements.
