Living in Rotterdam

Erasmus University Rotterdam is located in the city of Rotterdam. With a population of 600,000, it is Holland’s second largest and most diverse city. Home to the biggest port in Europe, many multinational companies are based here, including Unilever, Shell and ING.

  • Rotterdam The Hague Airport - fly to more than 40 destinations within Europe and beyond. 
  • Amsterdam Airport Schiphol – the largest international airport in Holland is just 25 minutes from Rotterdam by train.
  • Rail travel is simple and convenient - you can be in the centre of Amsterdam in less than 40 minutes, or Paris in just over 2.5 hours.
